Marketing and Communications Specialist
First United Methodist Church of O’Fallon is hiring a part-time Marketing and Communications Specialist. Introduction letters and resumes should be emailed to careers@offumc.org
Essential duties will include (but are not limited to):

- Create and execute communication strategies to promote, advance, and improve the ministries of First UMC of O’Fallon among the staff members, lay servant volunteers, and the greater congregation.
- Develop, manage and improve the church’s website and social media - including keeping all aspects of the website current with fresh and relevant information.
- Communicate information regarding the church, its mission and activities to appropriate targeted audiences through existing communications such as the church’s website, social media, newsletter, bulletin, email, and blog - plus, develop other channels as needed.
- Create graphics and content for website postings and newsletters.
Qualifications
- Has a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ
- Be a self-starter with a passion and vision for sharing the gospel through internal and external communications methods and strategies.
- Marketing/Communications experience.
- Have a working knowledge of current marketing and communication strategies, resources, and other tools needed for effective communication - examples include Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop/InDesign, Acrobat, Pro X, etc.
